CLARK, NJ - Girl Scout Troop 40549 lent a hand to Project “Bravery Bags,” a volunteer effort to supply brave and courageous women who have had a mastectomy with a little pampering.  The project was completed during the girls' October meeting. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The girl scouts put together gift bags containing nail polish and hand lotion. The bags were given to Lenore Grubman, Coordinator of the Bravery Bag Project out of JFK Medical Center.

The gift bags were then put into a pink tote bags with other “comfort” items such as makeup bags, lip balm, nail files, lifesavers, hand sanitizer, and a pillow for patients to rest their arm.  The Bravery Bags were then distributed to patients fighting breast cancer.
