CLARK, NJ –  “Friends Helping Friends” is the name of a gofundme page set up to help the Benesh family, the victims of a house fire on Friday.  Henry Trani, longtime friend and neighbor of the family, created the site “to help raise money to help this family get through the next several months, the next very difficult months, until they can get back into their home.”

Fire broke out in the family home on Friday morning, causing significant damage in the kitchen and throughout the house.  The family dog, Lucy, was overcome by smoke and revived by Clark Fire Department personnel.

Trani hopes to raise $5,000 to support the family.  In just two days, 30 donations have been posted to the site, totaling $1,880.

To make a donation, visit the “Friends Helping Friends” gofundme site.
