CLARK, NJ – Over 300 Clark senior citizens attended the annual barbeque hosted by Mayor Sal Bonaccorso and the town council at the Deutscher Club on Wednesday.   This annual tradition started 17 years ago.

”These people built our community, they built Clark, gave lots of time and effort when I was a young boy in this town, it is great to give something back to them each year.   I am thankful we can do this and happy to see them (seniors) enjoying it and to be with them,” said Mayor Sal Bonaccorso.

The day began with a flu shot clinic and then opened to a barbeque, music and afternoon of socializing.   Bonaccorso addressed the crowd briefly and introduced members of his staff and the town council including, Councilmen, Bill Smith, Angel Albanese, Al Barr and Frank Mazzarella, Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo and Police Chief Pedro Matos.
