CLARK, NJ - Students at Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School participated in a pumpkin seed guessing contest led by school nurse Donna Kircher. The contest was designed to raise money to help fight childhood cancer.

Mrs. Bitran's class used their math skills to weigh and measure the pumpkin revealing a weight of 11 pounds, height of 10.25 inches, and circumference of 26.75 inches.

On Halloween, the class counted the seeds totaling 637. The winner of the contest, Gianfranco Miraldo, won a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble.
