Johnson junior Stephanie Visconti went 2-3 with an RBI single, and sophomore Shannon Brogan hit an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning that made it 10-0 Johnson.

The game was called after that hit due to the ten-run mercy rule.

Westfield’s only base hit came from Shelby Estevez, who hit an infield single up the first base line in the top of the fourth inning.

The Crusaders have allowed just one run in their first three games this season.

The Johnson Crusaders (3-0) play their next game at Elizabeth tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. The Westfield Blue Devils (3-1) play Bridgewater-Raritan High School at home Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
