Lance to Host Veterans Affairs Town Hall and Claims Clinic

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced his office is partnering with the Department of Veterans Affairs in hosting a town hall and claims clinic in Cranford at Union County College on Thursday, January 28. 

Lance will welcome Mr. Michael Blazis, Director of the V.A. Newark Regional Office, to take questions, explain V.A. services and opportunities and troubleshoot problems with claims.  All veterans, service-members and family members and any organization or individual who works with or on behalf of Veterans are encouraged to attend.

Members of Lance’s staff and other personnel from the V.A. will also be available to share information, hear feedback and answer questions on VA benefits, including compensation pension , insurance , loan guaranty, vocational rehabilitation and employment and education benefit programs.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

April 10, 2018

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
