CLARK, NJ - The Clark Recreation Center, like most things, closed to the public soon after the pandemic started. For the first time Clark Summer Recreation Camp was canceled along with other annual events like the Easter Egg Hunt. A building usually bustling with activity, remained shuttered until recently.
"We are so happy to be able to open our doors again," said Clark Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo about the gradual opening of the center in early October. "We started outdoor programs last month, and then decided to start limited indoor classes too."
For now some programs and classes, like karate that are able to maintain social distancing and safety protocols are open indoors, others are continuing virtually or have yet to resume. For a full list of ongoing programs, residents can check out the Recreation Department's website. For additional questions, call 732-428-8400.
