Union County, NJ – Arthur L. Johnson High School senior Trevor McSorley was recently honored by The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) for his achievements as scholar-athlete. McSorley, along with 20 other county students, attended the annual NJSIAA scholar-athlete luncheon co-sponsored by First Choice Bank.

Since 1993, the NJSIAA has honored more than 6,700 New Jersey high school students and distributed more than $1.5 million in college scholarships through its scholar program. For 2015, NJSIAA honored more than 300 high school students throughout the state and awarded 199 students a total of $161,500.

Administrators at each NJSIAA member high school have the opportunity to select one senior student as their scholar-athlete of the year.
