CLARK, NJ - Miles Jean-Louis was named Arthur L. Johnson High School’s October Crusader of the Month. Jean-Louis was honored because administrators see him as a hardworking, selfless and a kind member of the Clark community. Friends know him for his amiable personality, and always ready with a kind word and a helping hand. 

Jean-Louis has applied to NYU, Rutgers, Fordham, and Montclair State. He loves to help others in any way possible and wishes to pursue a degree related to medicine. He is currently undecided on an exact career path, but he plans on staying in the field of scientific study. 

Jean-Louis devotes his time to helping younger students with homework assignments as well as setting up activities such as the Tricky Tray to raise money for scholarships. When Jean-Louis is not in Spanish Club, Peer Leadership, Key Club president, or serving as the Student Board of Education Representative, he likes to read novels, run track, play tennis, and spend time with his friends and family.

He also serves as an NYU Certified College Access Ambassador. This job requires him to be a mentor and advisor to his peers by conducting college application workshops. 

Jean-Louis has been busy throughout his high school years with volunteering, sports, and being on the honor roll every year. Jean-Louis is an NYU Certified College Access Ambassador. This job requires him to be a mentor and advisor to his peers by conducting his college application workshop. 

Although Jean-Louis is excited about his future, he said, “I will miss the tight-knit and close family, ALJ has provided for my peers and I these past 4 years.’’ Jean-Louis would like to thank Mr. Fosco, Ms.White, and Ms.Donaldson for encouraging him to try his hardest and strive for greatness.
