METUCHEN, NJ – The St. Joseph High School football program is hosting a Military, Police and Firefighter Appreciation Day on Saturday September 24, 2016.   Members of these uniformed groups are invited with their families to a pregame ceremony and tailgating party on the campus of St. Joseph High School in Metuchen.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with complimentary food and refreshments for all who attend.  Then just before the game, the distinguished guests will be escorted to the field to participate in a short ceremony of appreciation and recognition for all they do for their communities and country.

Head Football Coach Casey Ransone is spearheading the day’s events as a way of thanking these individuals for all they do to safeguard the public.   “We want you to know that we appreciate and support your commitment to protecting our way of life.  Former President Bush said it best, ‘most people would do anything to protect their family, but it takes someone special to protect ones they don’t know.’  You all play an integral part in our society, and without your service, chaos would reign,” said Ransone in his open invitation to the community.

Those wishing to attend the event can RSVP to coachransone@gmail.com with the number of attendees.
