Morristown Hospital Has Over 35 Kids Attend "Take Your Child to Work Day"

MORRISTOWN, NJ - The annual Atlantic Health System ‘Take Your Child to Work Day’ event was held Thursday, April 27. Employee's children between the ages of 7 and 11 got to learn about what their parents do at work as well as meet some of Atlantic Health System's community partners.

“Take Your Child To Work Day is an opportunity for us to inspire future health care leaders," said Nikki Sumpter, Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President, Atlantic Health System. "It is wonderful to share the many ways their parents contribute every day to improving the health of our patients and the communities we serve.”

The day included a medical helicopter landing, visit from Soothing Paws pet therapy dogs, CPR demos, an exercise class, and tours of police cars and an Atlantic Ambulance. New York Jets defensive lineman Brandin Bryant also spoke with the children.

President and CEO Brian Gragnolati told participants that as long as they work hard, they can do whatever they set their minds to.

Take Your Child to Work Day is a national event that allows children of Atlantic Health team members to participate in fun activities, learn about career opportunities in a health care system and the importance of our community partners.
