CLARK, NJ - Students in Mrs. Conner class at Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School returned to school ready to tackle the year's new challenges. Conner asked her students to think about and identify areas they wanted to improve during the academic year.

Each student was then prompted to write and illustrate how they would achieve these goals at home and at school.  Earning a 100% on all of their spelling tests, gaining as many Conner Coins as they can, and loving school were among the many aspirations the students shared.  The students’ goals and their drawings are currently displayed on a bulletin board outside their classroom.  Conner plans to refer to the bulletin board in the upcoming months and remind her students that perseverance and hard work will be required to reach their goals.
