CLARK, NJ - During the Clark Township Reorganization meeting earlier this month Mayor Sal Bonaccorso recognized Mark Dugan of Triarsi, Betancourt, Wukovits & Dugan Law Offices as the town’s Director of Law.

“Mark Dugan, welcome aboard to our community…. we thank you and wish you luck and look for your excellence in leading us in our legal needs each and every day in Clark,”  said Bonaccorso.

Dugan replaces Joseph Triarsi who announced his departure from the post in December. He is no stranger to Clark having filled in for Triarsi at township meetings over their years in practice together.  Dugan said he was looking forward to his new position in Clark and to working with the mayor and council.

Triarsi, who served the Town of Clark for over 30 years was recognized by Bonaccorso at the final township meeting of 2019.  “(Triarsi) has been a dear friend to me… a friend to this community as our attorney he has watched over this community, kept this community out of harm’s way and his advice was always well taken and he’s fought like hell for this community when he has had to,” said Bonaccorso.

During the meeting the mayor presented Triarsi with a plaque to signify gratitude for his service and tenure with the town and said it was a bittersweet time.    “(I have an) open heart of happiness that you are going to take it a little easier because you’ve been working really hard…but we are going to miss you here every month,” said Bonaccorso.

Triarsi took to the podium to express his thoughts about his departure and the town.  “Clark has always had a special place, it has been an absolute pleasure, I grew professionally out here,” he said. “This has been a favorite stomping grounds for years even though I live in Westfield and have to hear it from the mayor every now and then.”

He closed by reminding the mayor and council he would be gone from the dais each month, but not too far away.   Triarsi said he is only a phone call away and available to township officials at any time.  “I’m going to miss Clark, there is no question about it,” he said in closing.
