WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield police hope witnesses will step up after a tractor trailer reportedly hit a traffic light Wednesday morning at about 10:26 a.m. then drove away.

Police believe the driver struck the light at East Broad Street and Mountain Avenue, knocking it over, then left the scene, driving north on Mountain Avenue toward Route 22, according to the department’s advisory issued via Nixle.

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information relating to call the Westfield Police Department at 908-789-4000.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.
