Pedestrian Struck on Raritan Road

CLARK, NJ – A female pedestrian was struck while crossing Raritan Road at Lexington Boulevard a short time ago.  The accident involved a single vehicle driven by an elderly female.   The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Rahway, NJ.  Details on her condition are not yet available.

Motorists are advised to avoid Raritan Road from Westfield Avenue to Central Avenue while the investigation and clean up continue.  Updates will be made to this story as details become available.

Story Update Sept. 13, 10:36 p.m. 

The pedestrian was moved to the Robert Wood Johnson Trauma Center in New Brunswick due to her injuries.  The accident remains under investigation.  Further information is expected to be released on Monday.

NJ American Water Working to Replace Water Mains in Clark
