CLARK, NJ - Clark Police Chief Alan Scherb released a message through the district’s Honeywell alert system to the parents of children in the Clark School District.

In his message, Scherb said, “On Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Valley Road School, a vehicle with a female driver pulled up to the front door and called a juvenile by her name. At that point the juvenile was met up by a sibling and the vehicle drove away through the lot. Through our investigation we do not believe that this was a luring attempt. To keep everyone at ease I will have a police presence, both marked and unmarked units, at all the schools. I want to reiterate again that through our investigation we do not believe that this was a luring attempt. I want to ensure the citizens of Clark that their children are safe in all the schools and we will continue to monitor the schools.”

Residents were told to send any questions or concerns to Chief Scherb at: ascherb@clarkpolice.comcastbiz.net.
