CLARK, NJ - Rai-Mirash Goodman was named Arthur L. Johnson’s February Crusader of the Month. Administrators bestowed Goodman with the title for her outstanding achievements in sports as well as her accomplishments in her education. “Goodman is an impressive young woman who has been recognized for her athletic achievements, non-stop hard work, and her incredible mindset,” said Mrs. Jennifer Feeley, principal at ALJ.
Goodman is deciding on taking her talents to either Dartmouth University, Gettysburg College, or the University of New Haven where she will be studying forensic psychology. Goodman has picked forensic psychology because she says, “I enjoy watching and studying the minds of criminals.’’ Forensic psychology is a challenging major, but Goodman believes her determination will be the key to her success.

Goodman continuously challenges herself with juggling work, school, and sports. She explains that the key to success is by, “being content with yourself and all the things you’ve accomplished no matter how difficult it was.’’ Her teachers agree that Goodman has set a standard that many others should strive to achieve.

Goodman is most proud of her ability to maintain a schedule with work, school, and running track and still being able to make time for herself. In her spare time when she isn’t working or doing schoolwork, she is running and swimming. Athletics have become outlets for Goodman that she greatly appreciates.

Goodman’s time is coming to an end at the school and she will miss her guidance counselor as well as her teachers. She thanked Ms. Cusick and Mrs. Donaldson for helping her through her most difficult times and providing her the comfort she needed.
