'Read Across America Day' Activities at Valley Road School Celebrate Dr. Seuss

Students in Mrs. Koepfler's class at Valley Road school celebrated "Read Across America Day" on March 2. March 2 is the birthday of Dr. Seuss and children all over the country celebrated the love of reading.

The students were read to by Mrs. Doreen Babis, Supervisor of Special Education and enjoyed many other activities such as reading and voting for their favorite Dr. Seuss book, making "Cat in the Hat" hats, making oobleck and completing various other Dr. Seuss activities related to math and reading.

The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 also visited every classroom at Valley Road School. It was a very exciting and fun filed day to highlight the importance and the joy of reading.
