CLARK, NJ - Read books during the summer and get a chance to win prizes during the 2020 Imagine Your Story Summer Reading Challenge sponsored by the Clark Library.

According to library officials, the library will be hosting virtual summer reading events through August.   Participants are invited to log their reading using Beanstack for on the library website at www.clarklibrary.beanstack.org or the free Beanstack Tracker app.

Little Listeners Challenge 2020:  Open to babies and toddlers, 0-3 years old.  Using Beanstack, books read to children are logged along with the different activities they participate in such as singing songs, counting, or fingerplays.  Participants also get bonus points for attending virtual story time sessions with the library staff.  Every 10 points earns a raffle ticket for larger prizes at the end of the summer.  There are also toddler friendly prizes to earn along the way.

Children’s Summer Reading Challenge: Open to children ages 4-11. Log time spent reading or listening to books through Beanstack for entries for weekly drawings beginning in July and for a big raffle at the end of the summer.  Kids get a goodie bag for signing up, which can be picked up through curbside at the library.  They can also earn raffle tickets by participating in virtual events or turning in activity sheets, which are in the goodie bag.  The Children’s Librarian can be reached at dmorley@clarklibrary.org to request the activity booklet be sent by email for self-printing. The grand prize is a $100 gift card for Amazon (must be a Clark resident to win).  There are many other smaller prizes including a dragon Lego set and many book bundles.  Children can also earn smaller prizes along the way too.

Teen Summer Reading Program: Open to those entering grades 6 through 12. Participants can earn 1 raffle ticket for every book or graphic novel read, every audiobook listened to, and every teen program (virtually) attended. Teens that write 3 book reviews can earn a 3D printed item. Tickets are entered into a drawing for a variety of prizes. This lasts through August 31.

Adult Summer Reading Program: Open to ages 18 & up. Everyone who registers will get digital vouchers for $1 DVD rental and a free book.  Earn a raffle ticket for each book read or listen to, as well as for virtual programs attended.  Prizes:  Gift cards: $20 Amazon, $15 Panera, $15 Starbucks, $10 Dunkin (3), and Customized Tumblers with Cricut (3).  Smaller prizes available to earn:  Book Review prize: A 3D printed item for 5 Reviews and Trivia Raffle prize: Cricut decorated Mug (6 mugs / at virtual trivia program)
