CLARK, NJ – Raritan Road is closed from Westfield Avenue to Gibson Boulevard on Saturday morning due to a downed utility pole near the intersection of Lexington Boulevard.  An overnight motor vehicle accident left the pole in pieces and wires stretched across the roadway. Utility crews are on the scene to replace the pole and repair the wiring.

According to a PSE&G representative, only one home is without power.  Repairs will stretch throughout the day as multiple utility companies must be called in to transfer service from the pole.

In a Facebook post, the Clark Police Department indicated that access to businesses in the affected area is through the parking lot at Manny's Diner.

Motorists should avoid the area.
