CLARK, NJ - School of Rock Clark introduced the teaching staff of professional musicians who will lead its unique performance-based curriculum.  The school provides music education for students ages 7 through 18. 

“While our teachers are all young, they each have impressive credentials and boundless enthusiasm about sharing their knowledge and experience,” said School of Rock Clark General Manager Lindsey Chait.  “The fact that they all earn their living in the music industry gives them a credibility and passion that will be valuable for our students.”

School of Rock Clark’s faculty roster includes:

Art Lima (Vice-President of Operations) - Instruments: guitar and drums

  • Graduate of University of Connecticut
  • Co-owner of indie label OzoneBaby
  • Director of National AllStar Tour for School of Rock USA
  • Has performed with The Smashing Pumpkins, Earl Slick (New York Dolls, David Bowie), Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), and Eric Bloom (Blue Oyster Cult)

Lindsey Chait (General Manager) - Instruments: guitar, bass, DJ

  • Graduate of Ramapo College (double BA - Music Industry, Music Production)
  • Managed NY/NJ indie artists Jay Mickens, Summit, and The Great Fraud
  • Previously booking agent for The Saint, Mexicali Live, Webster Hall and The Bitter End

Dan Graziano – Instrument: drums

  • Graduate of Chatham High School and William Paterson University (BM – Sound Engineering)
  • former assistant engineer at House of Loud Studio in Elmwood Park, NJ ; worked on releases by indie artists Bring Me The Horizon, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Asking Alexandria, Coldrain, and Palaye Royale
  • performed  in metal, hip hop, and classical bands
  • Currently serves as instructor of the Chatham High School drum line

Alex Marucci – Instrument: guitar

  • Attended Berklee College of Music and graduated from William Paterson University (BA – Music)
  • Author of the book “How to Be a Musician In The 21st Century”
  • Composes music for film and video games
  • Has performed with rock, metal, blues, jazz, hip hop, and reggae bands
  • Currently working as a session guitarist, sound designer/composer, educator, and performing as a solo artist

Anthony Perez – Instrument: bass

  • Graduate of New School for Social Research (BA – Jazz Studies) and New Jersey City University (Masters – Music Performance)
  • Has recorded and toured with singer/songwriter Coby Brown, pianist Oscar Perez’s group Nuevo Comienzo, Duffy Jackson, Wycliffe Gordon, Phoebe Snow, Doug Wamble, and Dave Stryker

Gabrielle Hofmann – Instrument: bass

  • Former student at School of Rock West Broward (FL)
  • A former School of Rock All Star
  • Tours included Vans Warped Tour and performances in Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Richmond, Austin, Dallas, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Chicago (including Lollapalooza)

Kacper Pacholak – director of Rock 101, Instruments: guitar, bass

  • Former student at School of Rock Chatham
  • A native of Łodź, Poland
  • Grew up in the U.S. listening to The Scorpions, Guns and Roses, and Metallica
  • A fan of jazz, indie, and modern metal

“Students will love how our faculty can make their music education journeys exciting and fun,” Chait said.  “Parents will be impressed by how our faculty creates a nurturing environment that inspires confidence, teamwork and improved musical skills for their children.”
