SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Scotch Plains police responded to a report of a deceased adult male at an apartment on the 500 block of Park Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, May 21.

"We couldn't come to any conclusions to the cause of death, so we called in the Union County Homicide Division to assist with the Union County Prosecutor's office," said Scotch Plains Police Chief Ted Conley.

Conley said that the Homicide Division was called in as a precaution and no determination will be made as to the cause of death until the medical examiner completes an autopsy.
