SHIP BOTTOM, NJ - Ship Bottom officials have confirmed that beaches will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at seventh, fifteenth and twentieth streets, with lifeguards on duty. This will last until Sept. 30. People can enjoy the water with it's warm temperatures and fun waves that are prevalent each September. The beach patrol has ATVs available to get to other areas in case of an emergency.
This is a welcome benefit to living in the Southern Ocean County area and to encourage more vacationers to come down to LBI and continue to enjoy the summer. It is a great time for swimming, boogie boarding and surfing. Those activities are great fun especially when remnants of tropical storms are far out in the Atlantic.
