SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ --  The Union Catholic swim team placed first in seven of the 11 events on the way to a season opening 104-66 victory over Colonia to give first-year head coach Emily O'Halloran's her first career victory on Tuesday night at the Jewish Community Center.

The Vikings won five of the eight individual events and two of the three relays on the way to the victory.  Several swimmers came up with great performances for Union Catholic:

200 Medley Relay - Alex Moore (freshman), Stewart Adams (senior), Hunter Lee (senior), and Antonio Constable (senior) combined on the victory in 1:56.52.
200 free - Freshman Bridget Davis finished first in 2:00.29.
200 individual medley - Freshman Molly Brennan finished first in 2:22.42.  
100 butterfly - Senior Hunter Lee won in 1:03.14.
100 backstroke - Freshman Alex Moore finished first in 1:07.47.
100 breaststroke - Senior Stewart Adams won in 1:19.07. 
400 freestyle relay  - Swept first, second and third place. The winning team of Bridget Davis, Anna Gordon, Hunter Lee and Ryan Sulistyono combined to swim 4:05.52.

In addition to the seven victories, UC also placed second and third in the 200 freestyle relay. Alex Moore, Molly Brennan, Anna Gordon, and Bridget Davis combined on the runner-up team, and Ryan Sulistyono, Kai Tann, Antonio Constable, and Stewart Adams swam on the third-place 200 freestyle team.
