LINDEN, NJ – Linden Airport is pleased to announce the start this year’s career exploration program in the aviation and aerospace fields through the Exploring program. An information session will be held on Monday, November 7 at 7:30 pm located at the Linden High School (121 W St Georges Ave, Linden, NJ 07036). Aviation Career Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the 8th grade) and not yet 21 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of aviation.
The Aviation Exploring program provides aviation related experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Our program is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities. Local community organizations initiate an Explorer post by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community.
The result is a program of activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop. This is a great way for students to expand their knowledge, gain experience, build an internship, and more!

Exploring is a worksite-based program of Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old (15 through 21 in some areas). Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, emergency medical services, healthcare, law, aviation, engineering, or the like, and may be sponsored by a government or business entity.
