The Zoo That Put Scotch Plains on the Map


SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains welcomes Pete Terry, lifelong resident of Scotch Plains, who will entertain us with tales of Franklin and Louise Terry and their Terry Lou Zoo on Raritan road in Scotch Plains, the historic site of the Betty Frazee house.

The audience will hear of the Zoo’s beginnings and how it evolved into a popular site for school groups and families near and far to visit. Pete will also share many stories about the family over the decades beginning in the 1700’s with the Revolutionary War. Please come and join us to hear about the Terry family and the rich history of Scotch Plains

The program is free and open to the public. The College Club’s mission is to support education of our youth, local community and we encourage you to join us on April 17th at The Fanwood Presbyterian Church located at 74 South Martine Ave, Fanwood, NJ.  The program starts promptly at 7:30 p.m.
