Time to File: School Board Candidate Petitions Due July 25

Credits: County of Union, NJ

UNION COUNTY, NJ – Those seeking a seat on the Clark Board of Education must file a candidate petition on or before July 25, 2016. Three seats are open and each is for a three-year term.

“Candidates still have ample time to file, but with summer vacations under way the days can slip by quickly,” Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi said. “If you would like to be on the ballot this November, please ensure that you file in time.”

Filings are due at the Union County Clerk's office, Elections Division, 2 Broad Street, Room 113, Elizabeth, New Jersey before 4 p.m. on Monday, July 25. Petitions must contain ten valid signatures.

The school board election is held concurrently with the general election in November.  Election Day this year is Tuesday November 8.
