PHILADELPHIA, PA. -- The Union Catholic track and field teams produced several sparkling performances at the Father Judge Relays on Wednesday.

The UC girls, who came into the meet with a state leading 3:51.87 in the 4x400-meter relay, blasted a 3:57.84 to finish first in the 4x400 to help the Vikings win the team title. UC's 4x400 splits were 60.9 for Avery Jordan, 58.9 for Ashleigh Patterson, 60.9 for Jenna Keith, and 56.6 for Leena Morant.
 
On its march to the team title, UC picked up wins from Abby Granrath in the 3,200 (11:30.69), Alexandra Kwasnik in the high jump (5-5), and A'Liyah Thomas in the long jump (16-8). Also for UC, Sydney Tucker placed second in the 200 in a NJ#3 24.90, Felicia Quainno was second in the 100 hurdles in a NJ#5 14.87, Morant finished fourth in the 400 (a NJ#2 57.15), Khamil Evans was sixth in the 400 (58.02), Jerika Lufrano placed fourth in the 800 in 2:17.17, and Hope Handlin was second in the pole vault with a school record and NJ#2 11-3.

In the boys competition, Union Catholic, second in the team standings (93-73 behind Haverford), won the 4x400 in a NJ#2 3:23.25, and Justin Jimerson of Union Catholic threw a PR and NJ#5 171-4 to win the boys javelin.

UC's splits in the 4x400 were 52.6 for Connor Cooper, 50.8 for Myles Plummer, 50.3 for Tyhir Jones, and 49.5 for indoor Meet of Champions 800 winner Elijah Brown. Brown was also second in the 400 in a NJ#2 49.62.

Also in the boys competition, Elijah Abraham of Union Catholic placed second in the 110 hurdles in 15.52, Obadare Animashaun of Union Catholic finished second in the pole vault (12-6) and fourth in the 100M (15.81),  Matt Axt of Union Catholic was fifth in the long jump (20-0 1/4), Union Catholic was fifth in the 4x800 (8:42.55), and Plummer was second in the 1,600 in 4:28.24.
