WESTFIELD/CLARK, NJ — A freight train traveling the tracks on the border of Westfield and Clark was stopped Saturday evening, temporarily blocking the way between Westfield and Clark on Rahway/Westfield Avenue around 7 p.m.

The train was pulled from the crossing, sources said, reopening the road to traffic at about 7:30 p.m.

Repairs, which officials said need to be made to the train’s air brakes, were expected to take until at least 9:15 p.m.
