CLARK, NJ – Valley Road Elementary School’s third graders came together recently to recreate Vincent Van Gogh’s famous “Starry Night” painting. The lesson was designed to teach students about the winter solstice and accompanying winter holidays.
“I really liked working together to make something that everyone would see,” said third grader Liliana Budnik.
Their scene was displayed in the main foyer of the school. Information on Van Gogh and the painting, as well as a small poster of the original work, were also in the display case.
