CLARK, NJ — Fast winds could blow around unsecured objects, knock down tree limbs and cause power outages Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are anticipated to gust at up to 50 mph, the Weather Service said in a wind advisory in effect 4 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

With the ground soggy from rain and melting snow, the forecasters also warned of the potential for trees to become uprooted.
