Winter Weather Returns to Clark. Again. And Again.

CLARK, NJ - More snow is in the air and another 1 to 3 inches of the white stuff are expected on the ground as winter delivers yet another storm to the area.  The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Weather Advisory from 3 p.m. today through 2 a.m. Wednesday.  The snow is expected to change to freezing rain and sleet before changing to rain after 11 p.m.

This is the first round in a multi-day weather system that may dump up to six more inches of snow Wednesday night into Thursday.

 A Union County First Alert warns residents to be prepared for inclement weather and difficult traveling conditions.

Downed power lines or power outages should be reported to the respective utility company. PSE&G customers call 1-800-436-7734. JCP&L customers call 1-800-545-7738 or use the automated reporting line at 1-888-544-4877.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
