It's time to cut loose....FOOTLOOSE!!!!

The Academy for Performing Arts is proud to present FOOTLOOSE, THE MUSICAL at the Union County Performing Arts Center, 1601 Irving Street, Rahway, NJ, March 15-17.

Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage “city-boy” from Chicago. He and his mother move to the small town of Bomont and upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including Reverend Morris. The Reverend has convinced the town to outlaw dancing! With the help of Ariel (the Reverend’s daughter) and Willard (a country hick who becomes his best friend), Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process, helps the town heal from a tragedy that affected them all.

Many of us are fearful of “breaking a hip” but it goes beyond that.  It has been documented ...
