CLARK, NJ - The Clark Schools are collecting gift cards for the Morristown Valerie Center.   According to the flyer distributed by the schools, children are given a gift card after each chemo treatment as a reward.  The gift cards are meant to symbolize that the children are one step closer to being cured.

Organizers of the fundraiser are asking those interested to donate a $10 to $15 gift card for places such as Target, Panera Bread, Dunkin Donuts, iTunes or Amazon.  Donations can be dropped at the main offices of Valley Road School, Hehnley School, Kumpf Middle School or Arthur L. Johnson High School  Any question can be directed to shamilton@clarkschools.org

As described on their website, the Valerie Fund is a not-for-profit organization established in 1976 in memory of nine-year-old Valerie Goldstein by her parents, Ed and Sue. Its mission is to provide support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders.
