CLARK, NJ – Swimming, sunning, and summer fun are a possibility even during the era of COVID-19 if you are a member of the Clark Pool.   According to Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo, pool gates will open on Monday, June 22.

Bernardo said the pool can address many of the state guidelines mandated for public pools.   “There are differences this year, it’s not business as usual but we will find a way to provide some fun for our members,” he said.  “Like we are aiming for a DJ at the pool just about every Sunday.”

New to the poolside landscape this year will be circles marked on the grass within which families or attendees can set up their things and maintain social distancing guidelines while outside of the pool.

Additionally, attendees will find the slide and diving board closed until further notice.  Restrooms will close hourly for cleaning and disinfecting. The pool will be open from 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. each day.

Along with capacity limitations that Bernardo said he is confident they can manage, there are some new guidelines and procedures on the summer horizon.
