CLARK, NJ - The halls were 'pretty in pink' on Friday, October 11 as ALJ's Student Movement Against Cancer hosted its Annual Pink-Out Event.  Activities included t-shirt and pink hair scrunchie sales, as well as face painting, adorning the halls of the high school in pink, and a bake sale.

In addition, the evening’s football game against Abraham Clark High School in Roselle was also part of the pink out, complete with pink cheerleaders and fans. Even the football team got in on the pink-out donning pink gloves, socks, towels and guards.

“Thanks to tremendous support throughout the district and community,” said co-advisor Jackie Headrick, “this year's Pink-Out proved to be the most successful to date,”   Proceeds will be donated to the family of a Kumpf student who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
