CLARK, NJ - Andrew Lakkis was recently named Arthur L. Johnson Student of the Month for his high academic achievement. Lakkis, as most of his friends know him, is a devoted student, focused deeply on his education.

In an interview with The Crusader Today, Lakkis professed his favorite class to be AP Chemistry because of the critical thinking involved, and the balance offered between mathematical and scientific concepts.  Lakkis is also involved in many clubs in the school including the Spanish, Science, and National Honor Societies, Key Club, Speech and Debate, and Science League, with his favorite club being History Club due to the friendly, competitive nature.

On weekends, Lakkis usually helps work on houses his father rents to people in Elizabeth. With such a rigorous schedule during the school-year, Lakkis looks forward to summer where he enjoys visiting and reconnecting with all his relatives who live in Lebanon for three to four weeks.
