CLARK, NJ - Remote learning and  social distancing are no match for Crusader spirit.  Despite it all, Arthur L. Johnson High School recently announced Nicholas Sofianakos as Student of The Month for April.

Sofianakos, a senior has been on the ALJ hockey team throughout his years at the school.  The team recently won the title of McMullen Cup Champs.  In his spare time he enjoys being with his family and friends. 

Sofianakos said “The key to success is hard work and determination,” which helped him to get inducted into the National Honor Society his Junior year. He has applied to Villanova University, Virginia Tech, and Stevens Institute of Technology and plans on studying computer engineering.

He has chosen this major because he has always been fascinated with computers and how they work. Sofianakos said “ I will miss the amazing teachers at ALJ such as Mr. Schiavone who has had a major influence on me.”  Sofianakos is excited for what the future has in store for him.
