CLARK, NJ - The Arthur L. Johnson High School annual commencement ceremony was filled with memories, accolades and the promise of the brightest of futures for all those willing to go out and capture it. The ceremony was held on Thursday, June 20.
The faces of graduates and their parents glowed with a radiance bright enough to make up for mother nature’s unpredictable skies, which caused the ceremony to be moved to the school’s gymnasium.
Assistant Principal Edward Bucior served as the emcee of the event introducing each speaker and each musical tribute offered by the ALJ Chorus and Concert Band. During the event, students and guests heard words of wisdom and encouragement from each of the following:
- Valedictorian - Erin Heaning
- Salutatiorian - Ivy Lin
- Class President – Frederico Veltre
- BOE President – Steven Donkersloot
- Superintendent – Edward Grande
- ALJ Principal – Jennifer Feeley
After the conclusion of the speeches, students were awarded their diplomas.
