CLARK, NJ - Arthur L. Johnson High School seniors Ivy Lin and Erin Heaning were recently named National Merit Scholars according to school officials. Each student received a commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

In a press release shared byt hte school it was reported that about 34,000 commended students throughout the nation are recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2019 competition by taking the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Lin and Heaning  students received certificates and flowers from the schook administrators.    Principal Jennifer Feeley expressed her delight in the accomplishments of the students.  “Ivy and Erin are elite students and a wonderful representation of Arthur L. Johnson High School. We are so proud of them," said Feeley.
