CLARK, NJ - Whether anyone at Arthur L. Johnson knew it was National Ugly Sweater Day or not remains a mystery, nevertheless, many donned their fashion-questionable attire in celebration of School Holiday Spirit Week according to school officials.
Many students, teachers and staff participated in the annual tradition. Each day of the week had its own particular attire including Hat Day, Sock Day, and Candy Cane Day, but the apex of the week was Ugly Sweater Day.
In a bit of a twist on the recognition day, Seniors chose to make an Ugly Pajama Day rather than just a sweater. Some wore union suits recognizing the Grinch and a Christmas Story, while most wore their furry pants and enjoyed the casual attire for the day.
“I like dressing up all month to really get into the holiday spirit,” said Mr. Bucior, vice-principal at ALJ, while wearing his very own ugly elf sweater.
