CLARK, NJ – Third graders at the Frank K Hehnly Elementary School brushed it off recently in celebration of the American Dental Association’s National Children's Dental Health Month.

Hehnly teach Nina Conner organized a visit from a local dental office. According to school officials, Dr. Heather spoke to the students about oral hygiene, keeping teeth safe during sports, and orthodontics.

During her visit Dr. Heather and her staff lined the students up to form a replica of the human mouth. Instructors then used brooms to illustrate proper brushing techniques and even explained how orthodontics can help shape a smile.
