CLARK, NJ – The Student Council at the Frank K. Hehnly School challenged each class to a Random Acts of Kindness competition.
According to school administrators, students were excited to participate in the challenge, and kindness spread quickly throughout the school.
Some acts of kindness included saying hi to someone new, picking up litter and putting it in a trash can, and telling someone why they are a good friend.
All the classes had an overwhelming response to the challenge according to faculty. In the end, Mrs. Camillo’s fourth grade class came in first place with 152 acts of kindness.
Mrs. Hayes, one of the Student Council advisors, expressed how pleased she was with competition. “Mrs. DeVita and I were so proud of everyone who participated in the Student Council challenge. Keep up the acts of kindness,” she said.
