CLARK, NJ – They live here, play here and go to school here but there is still so much more students in Amanda Luna’s fourth grade class at Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School had to learn about New Jersey. ‘
After recently finishing a unit of study about their home state, students were asked to complete a poster about the Garden State. The students showed lost of enthusiasm according to their teacher. “Students were excited to share their posters with their classmates, Luna said. “They really enjoyed having the opportunity to learn about their home state. Posters are proudly displayed outside of the classroom.
“Throughout the unit, students learned many important facts about New Jersey. Students were then asked to show what they had learned through creating a poster which included the state flag, New Jersey’s location on the map, and special landmarks among other criteria. “said Luna.
