CLARK, NJ - Every Arthur L. Johnson High School senior received a personal invitation from Mayor Sal Bonaccorso to a celebratory pool party in their honor at the Clark Community Pool. The stunted end to the Class of 2020's school year left them without many special events including award ceremonies, prom, or a timely graduation ceremony.

Bonaccorso said all the cancellations drove him to find a way to honor the students at this special time in their lives.  Once Governor Murphy cleared community pools to open earlier this month, Bonaccorso made the decision to hold the event. "These kids really got cheated this year,"  he said. "So I decided to work with local businesses, raise some donations and get something together for just them."

On Tuesday evening the pool closed to members a little early to make room for the graduates ready to have some final fun together.  Then ALJ's  seniors enjoyed a night of music, dancing, swimming, friendship, food and even a ventriloquist as entertainment.
