CLARK, NJ – A first grade class at Hehnly School town worked diligently to help design a hideout for their turkey so it couldn’t become Thanksgiving dinner. The students in Mrs. Arrowood’s class participated in a STEAM project that required them to use their sleuth skills to create the perfect sanctuary for their Tom turkey to hide.
Using paper, dominos, rods and cubes, craft sticks, pipe cleaners, blocks and dice, students made all types of hideaways.
According to school officials, the children had fun and learned that many types of materials are important to any design project.
