CLARK, NJ – The annual 9-11 Memorial ceremony was held at the James A. Nelson Memorial Park on Broadway on Monday.   The park is named for Clark’s only resident to die as a result of the terrorist attacks.  James A. Nelson was a Port Authority police officer.

A crowd of Clark township officials, police, firefighters, emergency service personnel and members of the community gathered to remember their experiences and honor the victims of 9-11.

This year’s ceremony brought the addition of a reading of all 32 names of the Port Authority police officers that died in the 9-11 attacks including Nelson.  Two flags were included at the service to represent the fallen New York police officers and firefighters.
