WESTFIELD, NJ — Three people were arrested in Westfield Aug. 31 following a two-month investigation into illegal distribution of narcotics, Westfield Police Chief David Wayman announced Wednesday.
On Friday Aug. 31, about 2:45 p.m. the Westfield Community Response Tactical Unit executed a Superior Court Search Warrant at 11 Stoneleigh Park after a two-month long investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics by Alexander Mazen, 21, of Westfield, according to police.
During the execution of the warrant the tactical unit recovered more than 60 LSD tabs, a bag containing 4 HO MiPT (a psychedelic narcotic) and marijuana, as well as paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of LSD, police said.
Mazen was placed under arrest and charged with possession of suspected LSD with intent to distribute; possession of Suspected CDS/Analog–Schedule I, II, III ,IV; possession of suspected CDS marijuana under 50 grams; and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. Charges are pending for additional narcotics found on scene, police said.
During the search it was also found that Jeffrey Mazen, 57, of Westfield and Elisa Mazen, 56, of Westfield were in possession of marijuana over 50 grams, police said. They were both charged with possession of suspected CDS marijuana over 50g and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
