CLARK, NJ – Clark Police and the Union County Bomb Squad were at a home on State Street for several hours Monday after police discovered materials they suspected to be bomb-making precursors said Chief Pedro Matos.

Matos released a public statement assuring residents there is no threat or reason for alarm and that every precaution is being taken to ensure the safety of the surrounding community.

According to Matos, Clark officers went to the house earlier today to check on the welfare of residents when they found the materials and called in additional resources.
