CLARK, NJ - The Clark Fire Department responded to 24 calls by 10:00 p.m. on Thursday after heavy rains caused flooding throughout the town according to Clark Fire Chief Frank Cerasa.

There were five calls to rescue people from submerged vehicles and multiple calls for flooded basements he said.

Thursday’s heavy rainfall caused flooding of streets, underpasses, small creeks, streams and other low lying sites around Clark.
